Rick Milham brings over three decades of real estate expertise to Ascendant Realty LLC — not just as a broker, but as a seasoned attorney, investor, and entrepreneur. A graduate of Albany Law School (Class of 1990) and the University of Rochester (1985), Rick has built a reputation as one of the most trusted real estate minds in Upstate New York.
Rick is the founder of Milham & Associates, a respected real estate law firm in Penfield, NY, and has personally built a diverse investment portfolio that includes residential homes, Airbnb properties, hunting land, and commercial developments. He’s also been involved in numerous successful ventures across industries including insurance, automotive dealerships, construction, and outdoor gear.
Despite his wide range of interests, real estate has always been Rick’s cornerstone — and launching Ascendant Realty LLC alongside Ryan was the next natural step. Their vision: to create a brokerage that blends legal precision, renovation know-how, and hands-on client service under one roof.
When he’s not at the closing table or reviewing contracts, you’ll likely find Rick enjoying the Florida sun at his second home, spending time with his loyal Labrador Retrievers (Logan and Rusty), or gearing up for turkey season. A true outdoorsman at heart, Rick is also an unapologetic fan of classic Westerns — if John Wayne is on the screen, chances are he’s watching.
